Working Principle

Driven by the screw, materials enter the milling chamber of the pin mill at a constant speed. The feed inlet is located at the center of the milling chamber. There is no screen inside the milling chamber; instead, it is equipped with a high-speed rotating pin disk rotor and a stationary pin disk stator—core components that define the pin mill’s operational structure. The annular pin forests of the two pin disks are alternately buckled. As the rotor pin disk rotates at high speed, it generates strong centrifugal force. Materials enter from the center of the stator pin disk and pass through the pin forests of the two disks at high speed under the action of centrifugal force. A large number of collisions occur between materials and between materials and pins—this high-intensity collision mechanism is the key to the pin mill’s milling performance—thereby achieving the milling effect. During this process, the linear speed can reach up to 250 m/s, and the minimum milling particle size of the pin mill can reach 5 microns (D90).

5. The stator pin disk and rotor pin disk of the pin mill are made of TC4, SUS304, or SUS316L, featuring high strength, corrosion resistance, and long service life—ensuring the equipment’s durability.

6. The control cabinet is fully enclosed. Forced fans are used for both air inlet and air outlet, and both the air inlet and air outlet are equipped with H13 filters, which can effectively prevent dust from entering the cabinet and maintain the pin mill’s stable operation environment.

7. The pin mill’s milling chamber adopts circumferential water cooling, and the transmission shaft adopts circumferential water cooling + air seal air cooling—effectively controlling temperature rise during high-speed operation.

8. The main shaft of the pin mill adopts multiple seals (lip seal and positive pressure seal) to prevent material leakage and ensure processing safety.
